Week 12 Colours red and green. This is one of my great grandmother's oil paintings, copied from art of the day, probably a card from the 1860's, but I am guessing that. There is a bloom over it from the reframing in the 1970's and I should take it to be restored. I took the photo on the right and Ian on the left, interesting to try and watch all the bells and whistles he used at lightening speed.

Wow! I am blown away by Granny's ability and Ian's photography skills! this must be where you get the desire to do botanical studies,no?

Thanks Di, Don't think I have the skill or patience for botanical drawing. Great granny's victorian upbringing cultivated ladies being decorative, to tinkle the keys, sing a little and dabble with water colours. The vapours too.
