Week 26 colours, orange and green. North along Ripiro Beach from Baylys this sandstone outcrop with iron sand seams, managed to still support some green. I do not think it will survive more than a few years. This coast is under threat all the time from erosion. Hundreds of years ago the coast was several kilometres further out, you can see the remains of lakes with their peat bottoms, showing up as dark semi circles sliced in half with small water falls dropping down. The lignite with fossilised vegetation estimated to be 250,000 years old is exposed up and down and into the surf. We travelled up the beach on a quad bike, which was something I hadn't done before.
