Week 34 Boats. The Gota canal crosses Sweden from Stockholm on the Baltic to Gothenborg on the North Sea. MS Juno (built 1874) passing us, not far from the oldest lock in the country (1607) there are a total of 67 locks in all. This trip took a week and was a comfortable, leisurely way to see the country. Hans Christian Anderson and Henrik Ibsen did it and managed without a private bathroom. We did have a few adventures on this trip, a break down, crew left behind and loss of jewellry, (totally my fault and it was found in the end).
