Returning home after a trip to the West Coast of the South Island, (we stayed in the next bay north of Charleston) I took this photo through the front window of the rental car. Travelling home on the wide open road at full tilt, I am surprised that the camera handled the bug splatts, spots of rain, wiper echoes and muddy splashes. Despite all it's faults I will keep it, just for that.

Hillary, what an amazing shot. If I had seen that in person, I wouldn't have been able to move from my tracks.
Eight hours of driving that day so Martin did not want me to say 'stop here please' any more as we had a plane to catch at the end of the day. I have always thought your photos of the local area and around your home were amazing. Aren't we lucky to live where we do.
